Today is my parents' 38th Anniversary, and I think this Spinners' classic from 1973 says it all.  Actually, I take that back... it almost says it all.  For the whole story--and how I choose to picture their wedding day--take a peek at this version, recorded in 1976.  Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

UPDATE: So I guess I didn't listen to the lyrics that closely... probably not exactly appropriate for an anniversary. Regardless, it's a good song, with great choreography (in the linked video).

Today marks two years since the passing of the King of Pop. 

Mable John, "It's Catching"

Maybe best known for her single "Your Good Thing Is About To End," Mable John released "It's Catching" on the B-Side of that record.  Originally signed by Motown, she left when the label cut back its blues output.  John went on to become a Raelette (backing Ray Charles) for several years before going solo again, beginning with these two songs.  Enjoy!
