Saturday marked one year since the passing of Adam Yauch, aka MCA. From Paul's Boutique, here's the under-appreciated, idiosyncratic, accelerating "The Sounds of Science." Enjoy.

Pixies, "Where Is My Mind?" (Live at Austin City Limits)
Just finished watching loudQUIETloud, a documentary of the Pixies' 2004 Reunion Tour. Maura introduced me to the band, and took me to the Milwaukee show (at the Milwaukee Theater) that fall. One of the best concerts we've seen, and we lucked into third row seats. We bought the tickets five minutes before the show began, for a hair over face value. The rule, as always, never buy tickets in advance for a show in Milwaukee. Anyway, here's the band performing live in Austin on that same tour. Enjoy!

Little River Band, "Lonesome Loser" (Live)
Inspired to post this by the movie The Giant Mechanical Man (which Maura and I enjoyed watching last night)... here's the Little River Band, performing live in Melbourne in '83.

The 500 Club!: Otis Redding, "Chained and Bound" (Live)
Today marks Tuna Day's 500th post, and to mark the occasion, we turn to Maura's favorite performance from one of her favorite artists. Here's the incomparable Otis Redding, performing at LA's Whisky Go Go in 1966. Enjoy, and thanks for listening.
