I want to like Ben Harper, I really do. But I'm just not happy with much of what he does. This cover was bad, thready, and the percussion was nuts (though that may just be my $3.00 headphones).
He seems like someone who really embraces the craft of music. I want to support that. The album on which he collaborated with the Blind Boys of Alabama a few years back was great.
Maybe the musical side, the songwriting side is where he should be and stop singing!
(Note: I think Google's Adbot is broken. The in video ad was for winning(?) One Direction tix. Really, G? Is anyone who listens to Ben Harper covering the Beatles going to a One Direction concert?)
